Saturday is No TV Day.

We're iced in and it's a Friday. What have we done all day? Wyatt has watched TV and I've sat here on the internet researching baby stuff while Wyatt watches TV. I don't like that. We limit sweets and fast food. We are selective about the movies and shows Wyatt watches. But the days we can't go out and play, we watch TV non-stop. Tomorrow we won't be able to go out and play because of the ice. With the events of this week (heck, and last) the last thing anyone needs is me falling on my butt on the ice and going into preterm labor or breaking a rib. And let's not to mention the many things that could happen to my toddler. So, I'm planning a "No TV" day tomorrow. It won't be going on at all. And starting at 6 a.m., I will be waking Wyatt up and filling the day with activities. I've made a schedule and picked several varied activities to keep him interested, making sure they last no more than an hour. Some activities on that list:

Bowling
Basketball
Golf
Painting
Dish washing
Megablocks
Story time

We may also be expecting my nephew to join us for a bit tomorrow, weather depending. So all of these activities are things I can hold him if needed or take care of him while Wyatt does until I can give him my undivided attention. I'm going to see how this works because we may have to plan things like this for when Jeric makes his arrival.

I sure hope this helps with cabin fever, and makes bed time go smooth tomorrow night.
